Client did not want a wall tile installation using cement. He'd heard about the Schluter Kerdi waterproof system. This uses a bonded membrane for the walls and floor that creates a moisture barrier that helps prevent mold and is advertized to be hygienic and maintenance free. He also did not want the standard grouting and after doing a lot of research selected Fusion Pro Single Component Grout. This grouting combines the benefits of cement and epoxy grouts. It is easier to work with than epoxy grouts but more durable and stain and mold resistant compared to standard cement grouts. Nor does it need to be sealed. Tile installation expert Rich Silva was able to work with all these selections to create a truly great looking porcelain tile shower. Client says when family visits and looks at the new shower they just say, "WOW!"
